On behalf of the Board of Directors of DiGi, Southern Investment Bank Berhad is pleased to announce the following:
“NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT the shareholders of DiGi whose names appear in the Record of Depositors of DiGi as at the close of business at 5.00 p.m. on Monday, 16 October 2006, being the entitlement date for the Capital Repayment (Entitlement Date), will be entitled to the Capital Repayment.
Shareholders shall only qualify for the entitlement to the Capital Repayment in respect of the following:
(i) securities transferred into the depositors’ securities account before 4.00 p.m. on the Entitlement Date of Monday, 16 October 2006, in respect of ordinary transfers; and
(ii) securities bought on Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad (Bursa Securities) on a cum entitlement basis according to the Rules of Bursa Securities.
Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the cheque payments for the Capital Repayment are expected to be despatched to the entitled shareholders on 27 October 2006.”
As the Capital Repayment does not involve any withdrawal, deposit or consolidation of DiGi Shares, trading of DiGi Shares WILL NOT BE SUSPENDED for the purpose of the Capital Repayment.
The above Notice of entitlement will be advertised in The Star on 28 September 2006.
