STATUS UPDATE ON LEGAL PROCEEDINGS IN RELATION TO THE EARLY TERMINATION OF TENANCY AGREEMENT BETWEEN MJ DEPARTMENT STORES SDN BHD ("PLAINTIFF") AND UDA HOLDINGS BERHAD ("DEFENDANT")

Unless otherwise stated, the definitions used in this announcement shall carry the same meanings as defined in the announcements dated 28 February 2019, 6 March 2019, 28 March 2019, 30 May 2019, 7 February 2020 and 18 April 2022 (“Announcements”).

 

Further to our Announcements, the Company wishes to announce that the Plaintiff has decided not to appeal against the decision made by the Court of Appeal on 12 April 2022.

 

The dismissal of the Plaintiff’s claim will not have any material financial or operational effect on the MUIB Group for the financial year ending 30 June 2022.
