Sime Darby Plantation Berhad (SDP or Company) is in compliance with Paragraph 15.02 of the Main Market Listing Requirements of Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad in view that 5 out of 9 of the Board of Directors are Independent Non-Executive Directors. 

Upon the retirement of Encik Zainal Abidin Jamal as a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of SDP at the conclusion of the Nineteenth Annual General Meeting of the Company, Encik Zainal Abidin Jamal will cease to be the Chairman of the Risk Management Committee and Board Tender Committee, and a member of Sustainability Committee of SDP. 

The Board of SDP extends its deep appreciation to Encik Zainal Abidin Jamal for his invaluable contribution and services to the SDP Group during his tenure as a Director of the SDP Group.
