Reference is made to the Company's announcements dated 5 July 2021, 7 July 2021, 5 August 2021, 23 September 2021, 27 September 2021, 29 September 2021, 4 October 2021, 15 October 2021, 1 December 2021, 4 January 2022, 6 January 2022, 18 February 2022, 10 March 2022, 25 April 2022, 17 June 2022, 26 August 2022, 30 September 2022, 30 November 2022, 14 February 2023, and 27 February 2023 on the above matter.

 

Unless otherwise defined, the terms used herein shall have the same meaning as defined in the announcements.

 

The Company wishes to announce that on 24 March 2023, the High Court heard the 1st to 4th Defendants’ submissions on no case to answer (after the Plaintiff had closed its case) and decided in favour of the said Defendants.  In this regard, the High Court dismissed the Plaintiff’s action with costs awarded to the 1st to 4th Defendants.

 

On the same day, the Company’s solicitors were served with a copy of Notice of Appeal filed by the Plaintiff, appealing to the Court of Appeal against the High Court’s decision of 24 March 2023.  The Plaintiff’s said appeal is pending fixing of a case management date in the Court of Appeal. 

 

The Company will make further announcement on the above matter as and when there is a material development in relation thereof and/or upon receipt of any further directions and/or orders by the Court.
