ContentsThe Board of Directors of the Company wishes to announce that pursuant to Paragraph 10.09 of the Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad Listing Requirements ("the Listing Requirements"), the Company intends to seek the approval of its shareholders for a proposed renewal of existing shareholders' mandate for recurrent related party transactions of a revenue or trading nature in the ordinary course of business with Telenor ASA and Persons connected with Telenor ASA ("Proposed Mandate") at the forthcoming 12th Annual General Meeting ("AGM") of the Company.

At the 11th AGM held on 24 April 2008, the shareholders of the Company had granted a mandate for the Company and its subsidiaries to enter into recurrent related party transactions. In accordance with Practice Note 12/2001 of the Listing Requirements, this shareholders' mandate unless revoked or varied by the Company in a general meeting is expiring at the conclusion of the forthcoming AGM. The Company is proposing to seek renewal of the existing mandate for recurrent related party transactions of a revenue or trading nature at the forthcoming AGM.

A circular setting out the details of the Proposed Mandate will be despatched to the shareholders of the Company in due course.
