Reference is made the above. The Securities Commission ("SC") (and under the Guidelines on the Acquisition of Interest, Mergers & Take-Over By Local and Foreign Interest) had approved the listing proposal of Equator vide its letter dated 27 January 2005, subject to, amongst others, Equator is required to meet the 30% Bumiputera equity requirement at the time of its admission on the MESDAQ Market of Bursa Securities, where the shares to be allocated to the Bumiputera investors should be approved by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry. The SC had later vide its letter dated 2 March 2005 granted an extension of time for Equator to meet the 30% Bumiputera equity requirement by 31 December 2005.

Avenue Securities Sdn Bhd, on behalf of the Board of Directors of Equator, wishes to announce that the SC had vide its letter dated 30 December 2005 (which was received on 3 January 2006) granted an extension of time for Equator to meet the 30% Bumiputera equity requirement until 31 December 2006.
